Winter Freeze & Water Outage
As of 1:00 PM, January 15, 2010, the Assumption Parish “Boil Water” Advisory was lifted for ALL of Assumption Parish.
Assumption Parish Waterworks would like to thank all its water users for their assistance in helping to bring the water system back to normal. Each resident that did not drip their faucet and/or turned off their water valve due to leaks, helped bring the pressure throughout our water system back to normal in a short period of time. Their assistance also allowed us to supply water to the areas that were not able to receive water due to the system’s pressure loss. It is great to see a community of people gather together to assist a public utility in time of need and answer the call for assistance.
We realize that we could not have overcome this situation, as fast as we did, without the assistance of our water customers and the citizens of Assumption Parish. In saying that, the Assumption Parish Waterworks Board and all of its employees would like to say thank you to all who assisted us throughout this crisis situation!
Water pressure throughout Assumption Parish is back to normal.
