Biography

Mr. Leroy Blanchard represents the residents of Ward 7.  He is a Professional Mechanical Engineer and the co-owner of PAI Engineering in Baton Rouge, LA.  Mr. Blanchard resides in Belle Rose, with his wife and three children, where he is an active member of Paincourtville Volunteer Fire Dept.  

He is the Police Jury President, and is responsible for overall operations and activities of all departments of the Assumption Parish Police Jury. These duties include the preparation and administration of Parish services, programs, and projects as approved by the Jury. 
  

Also included in his responsibilities as President, Mr. Blanchard serves on all executive committees of the jury. 
  
 The committees consist of:

  • Drainage

  • Economic Development

  • Emergency Preparedness

  • Engineering

  • Federal Programs

  • Finance

  • Insurance

  • Personnel

  • Recreation

  • Road and Bridge

  • Solid Waste

 

The function of each committee is to advise and recommend actions to the full Jury for consideration. Leroy presently serves as Chairman on the Finance and Economic Development Committees.
