FOOD BANK ANNOUNCES IT’S OCTOBER (QUARTERLY) COMMODITY DISTRIBUTION IN ASSUMPTION PARISH!
The Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank in conjunction with the Assumption Parish Police Jury is pleased to
announce the quarterly distribution of commodities for Assumption Parish residents. Distribution will resume
throughout the parish at five different sites from October 27-28, 2020. A list of the locations and times
are as follows:
October 27, Napoleonville Community Center (Hwy.1) 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
Bayou L’Ourse Fire Station 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Labadieville (American Legion Hall) 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
October 28, Pierre Part (American Legion Hall) 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
Paincourtville/Belle Rose 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
(St. Jules Catholic Church Hall)
Recipients must pick up their commodities at the location where they are registered. Also, please
bring a bag/box to the distribution.
The commodities program is a federal program, which makes donated foods available to emergency
feeding organizations that provide food staples to qualified individuals and families to relieve situations of
The Food Bank serves as a clearinghouse that collects, sorts, and distributes more than 4 million pounds of
food annually to a network of over 100 member agencies in a 12-parish area. The Food Bank assists more
