Welcome to the Animal Adoption/Control section of the Assumption Parish Public Works Department.

The Assumption Parish Police Jury provides a Pet Adoption Program, which provides homes for unwanted dogs that have been abandoned. 

If you are interested in adopting a dog, please contact Mr. LeRoy Woods, at (985)369-8905, Monday - Friday between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
